- MRBackup Professional is distributed as a shareware product. THIS
- DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT IS FREE. What it does mean is that you are
- given the priviledge of trying the software for a period of 30 days.
- If, at the end of that period, you decide to continue using MRBackup
- Professional, you must register the program by submitting the
- necessary information, along with the registration fee, to the
- program's author. If you decide not to register, you must remove
- MRBackup Professional from your system.
-
- A hardcopy version of the MRBackup Professional document is available
- for US $15.00. This may sound outrageous to some, but it should
- indicate my reluctance to waste paper when the document now exists in
- both AmigaGuide (tm) and plain-text formats. You can also download a
- PostScript or TeX (.dvi) version of the document from the MRsoftware
- BBS. These will produce reasonably high quality printed output and
- include both a table of contents and index.
-
- Registered users will receive priority treatment in all support
- matters. Bug-fix and enhancement releases will be placed on the
- MRsoftware support BBS and other public forums such as BIX, aminet,
- etc.
-
- To register MRBackup Professional, print a copy of the registration
- form (located in the Docs drawer), fill it out and mail it, along with
- $25.00, to
-
- Mark Rinfret
- 348 Indian Avenue
- Portsmouth, RI 02871
-
-
- Payment can be in the form of U.S. currency, personal check drawn on
- a U.S. bank, U.S. money order or international postal money order.
- Please make out all checks and money orders to "Mark Rinfret" (not
- MRsoftware, as previously stated).

- With the recent events at Commodore, I have had to re-evaluate my
- plans and shift my focus to other platforms and operating systems.
- The public life of MRBackup Professional is in the hands of the
- remaining Amiga user community. There have been very few Shareware
- registrations of MRBackup Professional 1.15. I will continue to
- pursue product enhancements and distribution while there is motivation
- to do so (please note that I am always motivated to correct problems).
- Those of you hoping to keep a breath of life in Ami would do well to
- support your commercial and shareware authors with some buckaroos.
-
- This is a sad time for me. I've always loved the Amiga "from the
- inside, out" and believed it would find a permanent niche in the
- marketplace and be allowed to evolve while maintaining the appealing
- characteristics that set it apart from the rest of the pack. It
- appears that the Evil Empire has destroyed that dream. I wish all the
- best to the present and past members of the Amiga development team.
- I hope they find new homes with companies having enough vision to
- utilize their incredible skills.

- See the document entitled "Support" in the Docs drawer for more info.
